RIO WISAKSONO

Who Am I?

Hey there! You can call me Rio (I’m also known as Andrew). My career interests lies in the form of depicting data and developing stories from them. With a specialization in creating solutions through data visualization and analytics, my goals are set on the challenges of the big data field. In hopes of achieving this, I made it my life mission to gain insight about people and to make their lives easier through technology. As simple as it is, we live in a very fortunate age where the world is connected by technology and massive amounts of data is just floating around waiting to be used. What better way to start than to pick at the collective brain of the world and produce results that will make the world a better place!

In hopes of expanding my reach in this digital world, I’ll be sharing my journey towards my life goal. The chance to share a little bit about myself to the world and what I can offer means a lot to me. When I am not learning more about the world, you’ll always find me figuring out how to become a bathroom DJ, hoping for snow (snowboarding runs in my blood), and daydreaming of my next travel destination.

Curious to learn more about me or want to trade ideas on how to make the world a better place? Let’s chat!

My Mission: “… to gain insight about people and to make their lives easier…

Digital Intern/Co-op

June 2016 to July 2017
This experience was simply enlightening as I knew the work I was doing was impacting people world wide. I was able to serve the team with several roles such as a delivery manager, an analytics reporter, a SME in collaborative services, and a mobile app development/designer. Looking back, I'm ready to take on any challenge that comes my way.

Analytics Intern

June 2015 to August 2015
Being the first international intern, the bar was set high for me. I was needed to globalize the team by bringing my knowledge from U.S. to their business. One of my favorite achievements was reconstructing the account receivable sheets to an automated billing system. I learned that processes may be set in place but there's always room to improve.

Mathematics Major (Economics Minor)

August 2013 to January 2017
Education has allowed me to develop a passion for numbers. This program taught me that all solutions have multiple approaches (thank you proofs...). Applying this to life, there are so many ways to approach a problem. All it takes is a dash of creativity and a drive to make it happen.
